A founding partner of Directors Think Tank, Maurice is even-tempered, analytic who likes to consider every side of the story before embarking on a decision. A member of the royal family of Negeri Sembilan, one of the states of Malaysia, Maurice schooled at Marlborough college, Wiltshire, and then graduated with a BSc of Psychology from Leeds University.
Upon his return to Malaysia in 1999, he chose film and commercial production as his vocation. In five short years, he became one of the Malaysia’s busiest commercial film directors at age 24, winning multiple awards at the Malaysian Video Awards in his first directing year. He was responsible for the iconic Digi Yellow Man campaign, as well as notable Maxis world cup campaigns, featuring football icon Lionel Messi. His diverse clientele include brands such as McDonald's, Maxis, Milo and Coca-Cola.
Maurice is known for his comedy and feel-good spots - featuring families and kids - as well as storytelling. With more than 10 years as a film director, he provides guidance to the younger directors at Think Tank, investing in the next generation of the company.
